Until I recently sampled “Fire And Cream”–the latest scent by Strange Invisible Perfumes–I had no idea modern fragrance had been “dumbed down” to appeal to the masses. Launched on September 15th, the latest by Alexandra Balahoutis contains a diverse combination of notes that resonated deep within me, as if the scent stirred up memories from a past life.
When I first received a sample, I sniffed the perfume from the bottle and thought “eh”. Once applied, Fire And Cream comes to life quite unexpectedly. After I applied the fragrance, I caught myself sniffing my wrists again and again like an OCD-crazed perfume addict!
So, what notes make it so magical? Top Notes: Hydro-distilled orange and orange blossom. Heart Notes: Tuberose, frankincense, white lavender. Base Notes: Vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli.
For the record, I positively believe this fragrance will never be a “volume seller”. Fire And Cream is a perfume that connoisseurs will embrace, but most will shun. Personally? This scent absolutely, positively now ranks as one of my favorites! It’s just… special.
All scents by Strange Invisible Perfumes are comprised of organic, wildcrafted or biodynamic essences set in a base of 100% organic, beverage-grade grape alcohol.
