The buzz surrounding Algenist was too deafening to ignore, however, so I decided to give the brand a try. So far so good! My skin seems satisfied with this Alguronic Acid-based anti-aging formula.
Algenist: What is Alguronic Acid?
I knew you’d want to know. What is Alguronic Acid, anyway? Produced by microalgae as a protective mechanism, this compound also has regenerative properties. Who couldn’t use a little “regeneration” once you hit your 30s? Apparently, in tests, this acid also outperformed other anti-aging ingredients. Good to know!
The Algenist Anti-Wrinkle Collection contains an entire evening skincare regimen at a value price: 4 oz. Gentle Rejuvenating Cleanser, 1 oz. Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer, and 0.23 oz. Complete Eye Renewal Balm. This is also a great buy if you already use these products, and are in the market for a travel-sized version. Thus far, I am pleased with this product. My skin looks healthy and dewy when I am using it. My favorite item is the Complete Eye Renewal Balm. It generates that “tingling” feeling that I love, and keeps the delicate under-eye area well moisturized. These Winter months usually hit me hard, but so far my skin is doing swimmingly well!
The Anti-Wrinkle Collection retails for $52 at Sephora.com. Other value sets available include The Firming Collection, and The Best of Algenist Collection.
