Part of the amazing NARS Powerfall 2016 makeup collection, the latest eyeliner formula by NARS has been so amazingly fun to play with! NARS Velvet Eyeliner pencils are malleable when they are applied, giving the wearer plenty of time to smudge them to perfection. Looking for more impact? This color is buildable, so simply apply until you achieve the intensity you desire.

The new NARS Velvet Eyeliner delivers pigment that is amazingly rich. Swatches from left to right: Darklight-a deep navy blue that almost looks black, Kaliste– a rich deep evergreen, Curacao– a bright cerulean blue, London– a dark ashy taupe, Las Pozas– a bright pearly white, Mambo– a rich chocolate brown, Last Frontier– an ultra-dark brown, Black Moon– a rich glossy black, and Blue Lotus– an almost purple shade of violet. As you can see above, the finish is a soft, modern, semi-matte.

The wooden pencil itself looks like something a schoolgirl would carry. The tip is easily sharpened, and sharpening doesn’t make a mess or leave a misshapen tip.

When it comes to eyepencil, I’m much more experimental with color. I honestly couldn’t recommend just one!

As the fall months approach, beauty consumers will be in search of product that gives their skin that extra bit of glow. These NARS Highlighting Blush options are two of my favorites! At the left is NARS Albatross Highlighting Blush. This shade is that frosty pale that most of us equate a highlighter, but it has a warm champagne undertone rather than the more common icy silver! At the right is NARS Miss Liberty Highlighting Blush. This warm bronzy neutral is a more subtle highlighter.

These shades in particular are universally flattering, and mix well with any color palette. Each one would be a great choice for a gal who only wants to own one highlighter. Albatross and Miss Liberty can absolutely be used stand alone! Or, applied to the top of the cheekbones and used with a contour shade, these shades really help to create that sculpted look that is so hot right now!

MAC Liptensity Swatches

I posted a little teaser yesterday, but today’s the day you get to see EVERYTHING! I told you I’d be giving you and in-depth look at the new MAC Liptensity collection, and I meant it! This post contains MAC Liptensity swatches of every color that will be available when this lineup officially launches on September 20th. Click through the jump to see close-ups of each lipstick shade in the tube! This formula boasts pigments MAC named “High-Frequency Tetrachromatic” and I have to say the color impact is pretty amazing. The finish is lustrous and dewy, not overtly shiny or matte but comfortably in-between.

It isn’t often I have the privilege to play with makeup that is just so amazingly photogenic. I mean, these amazing limited-edition lipstick tubes from the MAC Liptensity collection are so gorgeous, I even had a blast playing with them before I actually applied the product to my lips!

To develop the collection, MAC tapped the talents of tetrachromat Maureen Seaberg. Maureen is one of few with the genetic ability to see up to 100 million hues of color the average human eye can’t distinguish. The result is a collection of 24 lipstick shades with amazing color payoff and lustre! The new MAC Liptensity lipstick collection will be available online starting September 20, and on-counter from September 21-November 17, 2016. Colors range from black to a pale neutral. I’ll be publishing a more in-depth look at the collection tomorrow, including swatches of EVERY SINGLE COLOR!

Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Scent and Tuscan Soul

The latest scents from the house of Ferragamo are very luxe, and very exclusive! Intended for true aficionados, and sold exclusively at Saks Fifth Avenue, these new additions to the Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Soul and Salvatore Ferragamo Tuscan Scent collections pay tribute to the splendor of Italy.

Tuscan Soul La Corte was inspired by the Italian Renaissance, with notes of jasmine absolute and almond milk chased with a heart of white lily and iris. Dry down notes are succulent vanilla bourbon and white amber. Tuscan Soul La Corte is the latest addition to the “Tuscan Soul” collection of exclusive fragrances available at Saks, and launched in July. An Eau De Toilette 2.5 fl. oz. spray bottle retails for $190.

Tuscan Scent Leather Rose is a marriage of opposites: the masculine scent of leather paired with the feminine scent of the rose simply works. Top notes of rose infusion and cardamom launch the experience, then heart notes of centifolia rose and Bulgarian rose anchor the scent. Dry down notes of cypriol and suede finish the olfactory experience. In my mind, this scent is inspired by an elegant woman sauntering into a Ferragamo shoe shop during his early years as a designer. Her rose scent pairs with his leather in an electric way! Tuscan Scent Leather Rose is the latest addition to the “Tuscan Scent” collection, and a 2.5 fl. oz. Eau De Parfum spray bottle retails for $250.

Both boxes feature weighty wooden stands to use as a display for your new treasure.
