Dolce & Gabbana The One Review

When I receive a fragrance, I immediately open the box for an olfactory sampling. The images that pop into my mind instantly are what I share here with you, my dear readers. I was recently sent Dolce & Gabbana The One Eau de Toilette, and a very vivid image popped into my mind the instant I sampled it. The scene was an empty tarmac as the sun sets in a flash of red and orange. A woman arrives in a limousine, and steps out with a sense of purpose. Adorned with diamonds and flanked by designer luggage, she boards the plane with a confident stride. That’s the image that pops into my mind when I first sampled Dolce & Gabbana The One: Modern luxury, worn by a woman in a power position.

Top notes in Dolce & Gabbana The One Eau de Toilette include Bergamot, Mandarin, Velvet Lychee, and White Peach. Heart notes include Madonna Lily, Ylang, Orange Flower, and Broom. Dry down notes include Vetiver Oil, Vanilla, Amber, and Musk. Overall the scent strikes me as a floral, but not overwhelmingly so. The scent is modern with a hint of feminine sweetness.

Retail price is $60 for a 1 fl. oz., $78 for a 1.6 fl. oz., and $100 3.3 fl. oz. Eau de Toilette Spray.

As you can see, these pretty pencils feature a retractable style, and the familiar flat-top MAC Liptensity design. Each tiny pencil is designed with a top in the color you can find inside, a very helpful feature if you have a big collection of makeup!

Shown above are the seven shades I was sent to play with. MAC Liptensity Lip Pencil Swatches from left to right: Habanero– a bold orange-red, Enoki– a pale cool hued neutral, Fresh Clay– a mauve neutral, All Dressed Up– a true classic red, Art District– a warm peachy pink, Dionysus– a deep shade of wine, and Pressed Blooms– a medium cool-hued pink.

MAC Liptensity In New Shades

Do you remember when I told you all about the new MAC Liptensity Lipstick collection and showed you MAC Liptensity swatches in every available shade? That was about one year ago. I’m not going to lie to you, photographing and sampling the lipsticks from that MAC launch was extremely fun. To refresh your memory a bit about the product, the Liptensity formula boasts an incredibly high-pigment color named “High-Frequency Tetrachromatic”. The color is, in a word, “wow”.

Good news for MAC-lovers everywhere! MAC Liptensity in new shades have hit counters! Nine new shades of fabulous have been added to the collection, and some old favorites are being re-introduced to really give you the ultimate in selection! This time, the collection is coming to the party with a date. Eighteen shades of Liptensity Lip Pencil have also been launched!

I was surprised there were so many shades I had never featured here on Raging Rouge before! Smashbox Be Legendary Triple Tone Lipstick Swatches

I’m completely smitten with the new Smashbox Be LegendaryTriple Tone Lipstick. Each long and lean lipstick contains three shades of the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick. Let your imagination be your guide! You can apply this product and blend with a lipbrush for a subtle ombre look, or layer it over itself for a modern, choppy flash of color!

To apply the product for a true, subtle ombre effect, apply first to the top lip. Then flip the lipstick upside down, and apply to the bottom lip. Perfection!
