MAC Prep+Prime Beauty Balm Shade Extension
[button link=”https://www.ragingrouge.com/about-raging-rouge/raging-rouge-llc-disclosures” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow” color=”RR” shape=”rounded” size=”small” align=”right”]Press Sample[/button]True story: in the late 90s, I couldn’t find a foundation to match my skin! Back then, my skin was the picture of perfection, and looked like alabaster. I visited counter after counter, and couldn’t find a shade pale enough to look natural! Once I finally found a brand that offered the perfect match for my skintone, I was so utterly angry at the other brands, I purchased items ONLY FROM THAT BRAND for years. I was fiercely loyal, as I knew they created cosmetics with consideration to my complexion.
MAC must be aware of this phenomenon, as they recently announced a shade extension to their permanent Prep+Prime Beauty Balm collection. Six new shades of skin perfection have been added ranging from light to dark, and this beauty-lover is thrilled to hear it! [Read more…] about MAC Prep+Prime Beauty Balm Shade Extension

Revlon At Assembly
I am getting a million, gazillion, quintrillion emails from NYFW. Each only makes me more and more jealous. But, I simply had to share this super-cool manicure created by Revlon for Assembly’s Srping/Summer ’14 collection.
Ideas for 2014: The Ultimate Manicure
Firstly, I keep hearing “the 90s are back”! Um. No. We are really not ready to be that boring yet, and the fashion featured thus far in NYFW is proof of this. Jin Soon Choi’s manicure for Assembly is a beautiful neutral metallic, featuring eye-catching nail art that is most certainly a nod to the 80s.
Want to recreate the look? No problem, but you’ll have to wait until 2014 to purchase Revlon Nail Enamel in Rosegold!
Shades used to create the look: Revlon Top Speed in Spirit on base, $4.79, Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy in Moonlit Dusk (black line on nail) $8.99, Revlon Nail Enamel in Rosegold $7.99 (new shade for January 2014).
“To recreate the look, apply two coats of rose gold polish, then swipe the white across one section of the nail and finish with a thin curvy black line to separate the colors. It’s easy to do at home because you can really play with it and get creative with each nail.” –Jin Soon Choi
