NARS Albatross and Miss Liberty Highlight Blush — NARS Albatross and Miss Liberty

As the fall months approach, beauty consumers will be in search of product that gives their skin that extra bit of glow. These NARS Highlighting Blush options are two of my favorites! At the left is NARS Albatross Highlighting Blush. This shade is that frosty pale that most of us equate a highlighter, but it has a warm champagne undertone rather than the more common icy silver! At the right is NARS Miss Liberty Highlighting Blush. This warm bronzy neutral is a more subtle highlighter.

These shades in particular are universally flattering, and mix well with any color palette. Each one would be a great choice for a gal who only wants to own one highlighter. Albatross and Miss Liberty can absolutely be used stand alone! Or, applied to the top of the cheekbones and used with a contour shade, these shades really help to create that sculpted look that is so hot right now!

MAC Liptensity Swatches

I posted a little teaser yesterday, but today’s the day you get to see EVERYTHING! I told you I’d be giving you and in-depth look at the new MAC Liptensity collection, and I meant it! This post contains MAC Liptensity swatches of every color that will be available when this lineup officially launches on September 20th. Click through the jump to see close-ups of each lipstick shade in the tube! This formula boasts pigments MAC named “High-Frequency Tetrachromatic” and I have to say the color impact is pretty amazing. The finish is lustrous and dewy, not overtly shiny or matte but comfortably in-between.

It isn’t often I have the privilege to play with makeup that is just so amazingly photogenic. I mean, these amazing limited-edition lipstick tubes from the MAC Liptensity collection are so gorgeous, I even had a blast playing with them before I actually applied the product to my lips!

To develop the collection, MAC tapped the talents of tetrachromat Maureen Seaberg. Maureen is one of few with the genetic ability to see up to 100 million hues of color the average human eye can’t distinguish. The result is a collection of 24 lipstick shades with amazing color payoff and lustre! The new MAC Liptensity lipstick collection will be available online starting September 20, and on-counter from September 21-November 17, 2016. Colors range from black to a pale neutral. I’ll be publishing a more in-depth look at the collection tomorrow, including swatches of EVERY SINGLE COLOR!

Lancôme Juicy Shaker Glosses

Lancôme Juicy Shaker lip gloss is housed adorably in a cocktail-shaker shaped container, and features a formula of essential oils and pigment that you need to mix each time before applying! The image above shows what the contents of a Juicy Shaker looks like unmixed. They have a very cool striped appearance when the pigments have settled and the oils rise to the top. This new gloss comes in twenty different colors, each named by the flavor of the gloss rather than the color itself! This gloss has a thinner consistency than the original Lancôme Juicy Tubes, but the finish is similarly high shine, as if you just bit into a ripe peach and the juice is what stained your lips. How delicious!

I didn’t get the chance to try out every single shade for your viewing pleasure, but certainly enough to give you a solid head start on a purchase decision! The photo above features the same Juicy Shakers shown in the original image, this time blended, as well as swatches. As you can see the color is sheer and super shiny, so colors that look like a deep red or bright orange in the bottle deliver a sheer wash of color. Shades featured above from left to right: Berry In Love– a deep pink, Lemon Explosion– pale rose, Meli Melon– pink, and Boom-Meringue– peachy pink.

This second batch of Lancôme Juicy Shaker swatches features shades with a bit more color-payoff, as well as the unusual blue-hued shade I knew you’d want to see! From left to right: Bohemian Raspberry– A deep raspberry pink, Wonder Melon– watermelon pink, Berry Tale– a deep berry pink, Mangoes Wild– orange pink, and Mint To Be– a super sheer blue hue.

Issey Miyake L’eau D’Issey Pure

Innocence is the first thing that comes to mind when I sampled the latest scent by Issey Miyake. This scent strives to capture the scent of a drop of water on a woman’s skin, and while there are plenty of floral hints to the scent, the overall impression to me is simply acquatic and clean.

Top notes of this scent are rose water, Cyclamen accord, Peony, White Lily, and Carnation heart. Middle notes are florals, and base notes are woods, musk, Osmanthus, and Tuberose.

Issey Miyake L’Eau D’Issey Pure Review

The profile of an Issey Miyake bottle is instantly recognizeable. Simple, streamlined, and elegant. Generally a crystalline sphere symbolizing a drop of water tops any bottle of Issey Miyake fragrance, but for artistic purposes this detail was skipped. For L’Eau D’Issey Pure, the bottle is this rare and precious drop of water. This scent is ideal for the woman who generally doesn’t like to wear perfume at all. It’s very subtle, natural, and…pure!
