The Fountain of Youth
I have something in common with Ponce de Leon… I am eternally searching for the fountain of youth. Unlike Ponce, I am not convinced this youth can be found in what we now know as "Florida". I search for it in smaller places–tubes, jars and bottles of various creams and lotions I can apply to my face in an effort to look 25 again.
It was during my search that I found my now-favorite moisturizer, Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Intensive Anti-Aging Cellular Creme. I found it quite accidentally, using a sample that had been tossed into a box with another purchase. When I woke the morning after applying it, I noticed my skin looked more radiant than I had seen it in ages. In addition to noticeably improving the condition of my skin, one of my favorite things about this product is that it is fragrance-free, making it great for a woman OR a man!

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
Winter can be viscious on the skin, especially when it is dry to start with. For those of us also dealing with crazy amounts of hand and/or dish washing because of their children, its so much worse.
My L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream dutifully keeps chapped skin at bay. It absorbs quickly into the skin, and has a fresh (and not overpowering) scent. My only problem with this hand cream is I have a tendancy to forget to stock up. Perhaps that’s why they now sell a bundle of three!

Doesn’t shopping at places like Target give you the coolest feeling of empowerment? It’s like you’re Bill Gates rich, and can buy anything and everything in the store, without even looking at the prices. Shopping at the Eyes, Lips, Face online store gives you that same feeling. Every amazing product will set you back only $1… And, since their product has been raved about by everyone from the editors at Allure magazine to Ms. Oprah Winfrey herself, I figured it was worth a try.
I received my package 5 days after ordering, and felt like a kid in a candy shop. For only $25, I had received over a dozen lip glosses, two compacts filled with eyeshadow and blush, a nail file, eye widening pencil, eye makeup remover pads and nail-polish remover pads.
Generally, my philosophy is that you get what you pay for. But this product is really fun, and wears well. The glosses are hypoallergenic, and have a high-gloss look reminiscent of Lancome’s Juicy Tubes. The eyeshadow is vibrant, and doesn’t wear off quickly. Their eye makeup remover pads worked equally as well as my all time favorite.
