Killer Queen Spring Reign

Katy’s original Killer Queen fragrance and its luscious fruitiness earned my adoration, and her latest scent is equally amazing!

I’m generally not a fan of florals, but there’s a certain fresh, succulent sweetness to the floral fragrances I’ve tested thus far in 2015 that make them winners!

Katy Perry Killer Queen’s Spring Reign features opening notes of pink freesia, violet petals, and cassis. Heart notes of natural davana, gardenia, and may flower rose add balance to the woodsy base notes of cashemeran and cedarwood oil.

Retail price is $39 for a 30ML spray, and $59 for a 100ML spray.

My son spied it on my vanity and said, “this bottle is my favorite.” As I’ve mentioned in my past review of Katy Perry Killer Queen, the bottle reminds me of the prop vial used to hold the youth elixir in the movie “Death Becomes Her”. It simply looks magical!

Somewhere along the line, summer became all about BRIGHTS. While I still love a good lemon-yellow pedicure, pastel shades are still a super summertime option for those in search of a more demure look, and Sephora Formula X has such a wide selection of picture perfect pastels to choose from!

Starting above is Sephora Formula X in Brazen. This bubble gum pink is as girlie as it gets. Described by Sephora as “petal pink” the shade is versatile, and can be made bolder with an extra coat.

I’m crazy about Sephora Formula X Thrilling! This modern neutral has cool undertones, and looks beautiful with literally every color you could wear.

Sephora Formula X Unmistakeable is a pale seafoam green that Sephora calls a “pastel jade”. This is a popular shade for the toes, and has been for years! It’s a great choice to liven up some neutral clothing with quiet color.

Sephora Formula X Infatuated is a perfect baby-blue hue that is considered a “new neutral” by Sephora. I’m in love with this shade for myself, but it would also make a terrific gift if you have a young daughter.
