L’Oreal Frosty Neutral Trio

Yesterday was the first “desert summer” day here in Scottsdale. Temperatures reached the mid 90s and the air was bone dry. On truly hot days, I seem to gravitate toward cooler makeup shades like the frosty neutrals photographed above. Maybe on some level I feel like wearing icy colors will lower my body temperature?

I can’t say enough about this recently-released Lancôme formula. My “go-to” shade pick from the lineup is Nutmeg, a medium neutral that works for any season!

Gloss In Love, $27.50. Imagine the most buttery gloss you’ll ever feel, housed in an ingenious tube with a button that deploys the applicator. That’s Gloss In Love! Fizzy Rosie is a great color choice for spring. It’s a soft pink/apricot shade that works for any complexion.

Definicils Waterproof High Definition Mascara, $27.50. How did I test this waterproof formula for my readers? I wore it all day to a local waterslide park! After hours of slipping and sliding this mascara hadn’t budged at all. If you have vacation plans, or just a busy summer of water fun ahead, this is a must-try!

Color Design Matte Lip Crayon, $24. This lightweight formula comes in an easy-to-apply pencil format that hugs every curve and corner of the lips!

Blush Subtil Palette, $43. These three-shade cheek palettes are the ultimate for a frequent traveler! Each palette features a bronzer shade, a blush shade, and a highlighter.

Salvatore Ferragamo Emozione Dolce Fiore Review

There was a time that the name Ferragamo made me think of beautiful leather handbags. Now when I hear mention of house Salvatore Ferragamo, I think of fragrance.

The brand has launched so many spectacular scents in the past few years, it’s frequently one I mention to friends when they are shopping. This year, leveraging off of the Emozione name, Ferragamo has released Emozione Dolce Fiore Eau De Toilette. This more feminine take on the original Emozione design features a rose gold bottle, and the scent itself even has a rosy hue. The bottle features a spray applicator and peachy-pink accents.

Emozione Dolce Fiore Review

Emozione Dolce Fiore is sexy, soft and subtle. This fragrance works well for a woman who wants to project sophistication and class. The elegant scent features some of the same notes you enjoyed in the original Emozione, but with a slightly sweeter finish. Top notes are grapefruit, bergamot, and white peach. Middle notes are rose damascena, peony, solar accord. Base notes are white musk, vanilla, and suede.
