My favorite of the bunch is Naked Coral, which is only slightly deeper than my natural lip color and the subtle coral hue adds just a touch of something special. My runner up was surprisingly Brown Blush, a very flattering deep shade perfect for professional wear or a night out. The formula is creamy and comfortable, and sets to a modern matte finish.

Nordstrom Beauty Trend Events Spring 2018

I’ve attended MANY Nordstrom Beauty Trend events, so I’m happy to post about how you can attend too! Simply click this link to be directed to a page on the Nordstrom website that includes a list of locations and dates of the Nordstrom Beauty Trend Show. The show tends to start early in the morning, before the store opens. As a result you’ll get the chance to mingle with like-minded beauty lovers and watch a show on the hottest trends of the season! This year’s trends to watch according to Nordstrom are luminous skin, and hi-definition lips. If you want to see examples of these hot new makeup trends in action, keep scrolling!

How does it work? Simply purchase a ticket for $20 to attend the show online. That ticket will be redeemable for $20 off of your beauty purchase after the show, so essentially the show is free if you intend to buy cosmetics. Usually you’ll receive a generous bag filled with samples. The trend shows I have attended in the past also served water, coffee, and even some continental breakfast goodies. After the show you’ll have an opportunity to meet some of the top professional makeup artists in the country, and try out some of the new trends yourself.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kate Somerville at a Nordstrom Beauty Trend Event years ago. It was such a thrill, and I still use many of her skincare products to this day!
