Never in my life did I break out on my neck…
…until my pregnancy. Suddenly the right side of my jawline was riddled with cystic acne. Afraid to take any medication while pregnant or nursing, I just did nothing about the situation. The issue went away on its own accord. Breakouts stopped and the scars healed quite nicely.
In February/March of this year, for no apparent reason, it started all over again on the left side of my face. I finally visited a Dermatologist, who described the issue as hormonal, and prescribed me BenzaClin to both prevent and heal the breakouts and reduce the redness left behind. I briefly sampled the product, and immediately discontinued usage.
While I’m sure this product is probably a success for some people, I want to issue a warning for those about to try it out. This product left my skin feeling very tight and uncomfortably itchy. Another negative surprise, BenzaClin actually BLEACHED my hand-towel! Be aware that this product is probably best for those with oily skin. If you have dry or sensitive skin, you should ask your doctor for another option. If you choose to try this product, keep it away from your linens and clothing!
Since discontinuing use of BenzaClin, I’ve resumed my usual routine, and have been using nothing but Jane Iredale Disappear Concealer to cover the area. My breakout has dwindled to virtually nothing, and my skin is healing quite nicely. Might be a coincidence, but I thought my loyal readers would be interested!
