It’s rare for me to stray from the topic of beauty on this blog, but you know I love a good deal… so it’s time to mix things up a bit! Today’s post is a jewelry review! Allow me to introduce you to Blue Nile’s Twist Dangle Earrings, in 14k Yellow Gold!
Blue Nile Twist Dangle Earrings Review
I’ve been featuring a lot of neon makeup lately. The brights of the 80s are back! When I was thinking about the shades I plan to wear this Spring and Summer, white gold just seemed to be a bit too subtle. The jewelry suitable for 2012 is much like the jewelry of the 80s. Think bold, think big and think GOLD!
In over five years of blogging, I have never featured a full photo of my face! This is generally for reasons of privacy. But let’s face it, an “ear shot” wouldn’t do any justice to these gorgeous gleaming gold earrings. Plus, I wanted to work in some makeup for you to check out!
One night, looking for a diversion, I randomly surfed over to BlueNile.com. I was delightfully surprised by what I saw on the screen! Blue Nile had expanded their original, succinct selection of classic “must-own” pieces to include some fine jewelry in on-trend modern styles. It is incredibly difficult to find trendy pieces of fine jewelry, unless you’re willing to pay a ludicrous markup for a designer name.
The Twist Dangle Earrings from Blue Nile are a glamourous two inches long, with a french hook post. They’re lightweight, so you need not worry about the dreaded earlobe drag. The top link of the earring is a smooth, gleaming gold. The lower two inter-twined rings are a textured twist design. These are going to look fabulous with all of that Tangerine Tango I plan to wear this Spring/Summer!
My BlueNile.com shopping experience was fun and easy. The site is extremely easy to browse, and loads super-fast! My order arrived in two days (and was free)! The packaging for these earrings wasn’t particularly worthy of their statusy appearance. They came inside of a blue fabric pouch tucked into a blue gift box. My personal opinion is that these beautiful babies deserve a velvet earring box. Will I shop with Blue Nile again? I already have! My next blue box should be here soon…
Original retail price was $360. Sale price $252.
Click HERE to check them out. But don’t wear them on the same day I do!
