It was fate, I suppose. My son and I wandered into The Body Shop recently, and I came out toting these three delicious Shower Gels: Chocomania Shower Cream, Strawberry Shower Gel, and Satsuma Shower Gel. I ordinarily wouldn’t have purchased so many shower gels, but when the salesperson told me they also make a great bubble bath, I was sold. (Why the bottles don’t specifically list that as a function is beyond me). I’m loving all three, but the clear winner is the ultra decadent Chocomania, which smells exactly like chocolate syrup, and can also entice my busy boys to actually take a five minute break to soak off Summer grime in a warm tub.
Move Over Cinnamon Buns! Chocomania Is Just As Yummy!
The Body Shop Chocomania Shower Cream Review: I’ve been purchasing Philosophy’s Cinnamon Buns 3-in-1 shower gel for quite some time. Its buttery, sugary, cinnamon scent adds yummy fun to a bath or shower. I’ve never found another bath and body product equally delectable until I stumbled on Chocomania! This Body Shop Shower Cream is moisturizing and creates a luxurious lather. The only bummer is that Sodium Laureth Sulfate is an ingredient, which can irritate sensitive skin. My boys luckily have no problems with that particular ingredient, so we’ve been basking in the glory of these yummy bath scents for a few weeks.
The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel Review: This shower gel is a bit thinner in consistency than the Chocomania Shower Cream. However, the strong citrusy scent makes up for it! This is an excellent choice for morning use, as the zesty fragrance is eye opening. Another perk, this scent will linger in the house, making the bathroom smell delicious!
The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel Review: Of the three scents we purchased, this was the least exciting. Sure, it does smell like yummy strawberries, but the kids aren’t as excited by strawberry as chocolate! Plus, the Satsuma is much more fragrant.
Another perk: The Body Shop frequently offers BOGO deals and other discounts, which makes these less expensive to use than Philosophy shower gels. The Strawberry and Satsuma scents come in HUGE 25.3 fl. oz. bottles, so once you find a favorite scent you can save big by buying big. Sadly, Chocomania is currently only available in an 8.4 fl. oz. bottle, which makes it about the same price as Philosophy. My guess is that a jumbo size will be available soon, as customers are quickly discovering this scent and clearing the shelves!
Retail price is $8 for an 8.4 fl. oz. bottle. Jumbo Size is $15 for a 25.3 fl. oz. pump bottle.
