The hottest makeup colors for Spring and Summer 2012 will be super-bright. My personal opinion is the trendiest look of all will be the uber-bright, almost-neon lip, but many will be too gun-shy to give that a whirl. Those of us more comfortable with a pop of color on the cheek will choose shades like NARS Gaiety, one of the blushes from the NARS Spring 2012 makeup collection.

The Gaiety shade is as cheerful as its name, an ultra bright pink with cool undertones. Gaiety captures the trend toward brightness without being clownish or overly youthful.
When I received a sample of NARS Gaiety, I used my fingertip to swatch the shade in the photo above. Oh, oh, oh did it feel so silky soft! The feel of NARS blush is equally silky as any upscale bedding.
The staying power is a plus. Some powder blushes wear off quickly on me, but NARS Gaiety is not one of them!
