I’m a big fan of the way the Colour Added Eye Shadow x4 quad from the Shop MAC colour collection plays with clashing finishes and unexpected color mixtures.
Colour Added Eye Shadow x4 Swatches and Review
The four shades included in this fun Shop MAC shadow quad are (from top left, clockwise): 1) Laundry Daze, which is described by MAC as a light yellow satin shade. To me, Laundry Daze looks like a yellowish ivory. The shade is very neutral and pale. 2) Colour Added is a bright yellow with the veluxe pearl finish, 3) Self Serve is a smoldering charcoal gray, and 4) Pre-Packaged is referred to as a muted turquoise, but to me this shade is a metallic navy blue, maybe a bit brighter than the average Navy.
This eye shadow quad from the Shop MAC colour collection for Spring 2012 is perhaps the most intimidating of the collection, but also the most on-trend for the season. Smoldering shades to really define the eye are punctuated with sunshine brights. The shades are all the high-pigment rich colors you have come to expect from MAC. Do you dare dip into yellow before the rest of the crowd? For now, I’m a bit bashful. However, I aspire to wear this palette sometime this Spring!
Retail price is $38 per quad.
