Tis the season for dark polish! But the problem I always have when faced with dark shades like OPI Russian Navy and OPI Play Til Midnight, is that they are so dark in the bottle you have no clue what they’ll look like on the nail!
OPI Russian Navy vs. Play Til Midnight Swatches
This is one of the reasons I have started to accumulate a fan deck of polish swatches. As you can see in the first image, the two shades look almost like dupes. Once swatched, you can see that Play Til Midnight is actually a very deep purple, nothing at all like the deep dark navy blue of Russian Navy. Rather than have to try them on each time to refresh your memory on what the polish looks like, you can grab a fan deck from Amazon.com, like I did!
The author of the Raging Rouge Beauty Blog might have received these shades as press samples. They are from older collections, so I can’t remember! Some of my reviews also contain affiliate links. For more information on sample policies, please click HERE to read my full disclosure.
