On the hunt for the perfect, universally flattering lip shade, I swiped dozens of samples over the back of my hand one day while shopping. Finally, I stumbled upon Dior’s Creme de Gloss in Fig Nectar (not the color pictured). Eureka! I had found it– like a successful search for the holy grail, I felt need to celebrate.
But my happiness was short-lived. Dior’s Fig Nectar was out of stock! After several fruitless efforts to purchase this gloss in the flesh, I finally bought it online at Sephora. I gave it to my mother-in-law for her birthday rather than keep it (I decided I really really didn’t need another gloss). She raved about it, and it’s her new "go to" gloss. Why not? The mauve/plum shade would work on any skin tone, and any age. It’s truly a gem.
