The day of my sister’s sweet sixteen, she asked me to straighten her hair. On the surface, it sounds like a simple enough request, except for two things: 1) her voluminous curly hair was about 3 feet long, and 2) my straightening iron, considered good at the time, was not up to the task.
It took about an hour and a half to achieve a look that would be considered wavy at best. If only I had the Farouk Chi Ceramic straightening iron at the time. It heats up lightening-fast, and not only flattens hair to perfectly straight, but is astonishingly gentle.
