Readers of the Raging Rouge beauty blog know I have a major crush on the illustrious Frederic Fekkai! I've even gone so far as to declare him the "God of Hair" (and absolutely feel the title is deserved). In Summer 2008, I dedicated a solid week of reviews to Mr. Fekkai's hair care wonders, they are so plentiful!
As usual, Frederic Fekkai is constantly outdoing himself. This Summer, Fekkai's best-selling Summer Hair line has returned… but reformulated! AquaNutrient technology delivers deep hydration to help counter Summer damage.
It has always seemed ironic to me, that many women spend fortunes (literally) on their hair in the form of color, blow-outs, conditioning-treatments, cuts… Then, do the unthinkable, and neglect to protect their hair from the sun! Your flat iron isn't the only thing frying your locks. Sun exposure causes dryness, brittleness and color fade; leading to breakage and dull, lifeless hair.
I recently had the chance to sample two products from Frederic Fekkai's Beachcomber line, and must recommend them highly!
Fekkai Beachcomber Leave-In Conditioner is a lightweight moisturizing formula. Quite frankly, those of the dry-haired variety (like me) should use this all year round! Hair is left feeling feather-light, but softer and healthier.
Fekkai Zero-Humidity Frizz Control is a summer must-have for outdoorsy types with kinky hair. Simply spray on damp hair prior to styling, and it helps to keep frizz at bay. You can also apply as needed to tame crazy fly-aways all day (so take it to the beach with you)! It works by sealing the cuticle of the hair, something easily damaged by heat-styling or chemical processes.
Retail price is $23 each.
Retailers include Frederic Fekkai salons, Bath and Body Works, Neiman Marcus, Sephora.com, Saks Fifth Avenue, NORDSTROM.com, Bloomingdales, C.O. Bigelow and other fine beauty retailers.
