I’ve loved Greek Mythology since my youth, intrigued by the concept of many Gods–each with a very specific sphere of influence. If the Gods of Ancient Greece were still worshiped today, one could imagine we probably would have added a few more over the years. Who in today’s world wouldn’t worship fervently and fearfully at the altar of the God of Oil Prices (I picture him to be rather sinister, and a close personal friend of Hades, the God of the Underworld himself). Certainly, with our society’s focus on beauty, we would see a need to assign a God of Hair to a seat on Mt. Olympus. The God of Hair would most definitely be named Frederic, after the renowned Frederic Fekkai.
I was so excited when I recently read that Mr. Fekkai has expanded his salon locations to include suburbia (the newest location opened in May, to much fanfare). Sadly for me- his suburban location is Greenwich, CT. So, I’ll have to wait a while longer to have Fekkai-trained hands sculpt my hair. I’m certain, when I finally get my chance, it will be a religious experience. Until then, I have been satiated with using products from Mr. Fekkai’s fabulous hair care line.
I have yet to try a Fekkai product that hasn’t rocked my world, so I’m dedicating this week of posts to Mr. Frederic Fekkai, modern-day hair God.
