Have you ever tried one of Kenzo’s skincare products? If not, you are SO missing out!
A fairly recent addition to the Kenzoki skincare family is Belle De Jour Serum. The secret ingredient in the formula is the White Lotus Flower, renowned for its soothing and anti-free radical properties. The White Lotus flower also happens to have a super-feminine powdery scent!
I’ve been on a bit of a skin-care sampling binge lately. Generally, I prefer to test skincare products on “normal” untreated skin to really see how well they perform. So, I thought outside the box, and used Belle De Jour on my legs! Oh, my poor, dry legs… if any skin needed luminosity, it was that part of my body. After only a few nights of use, the skin looked more luminous, dewy and younger. The texture looked more even and smooth. Couple Kenzoki Belle De Jour Serum with a killer moisturizer, and Belle De Jour is a formidable weapon in any anti-aging arsenal.
A 1 oz. pump bottle retails for $150.

After getting so many great recommendations from you, I’m tempted to try this one! Coincidentally, while I was browsing Sephora yesterday (looking for Alterna summer hair products), I realized that I could use a new face cream to protect my skin from summer sun. I have a few sun spots and scars on my face that I would like to lighten and for that reason, I have avoided exposing my face to direct sunlight. So, while the rest of me is nice and tan, my face is light (without makeup). I would like to even this out, but definitely need some good moisturizing and protecting day and night for the rest of the summer (at any cost). Any advice! Thanks as always 🙂

Ho boy! I’ve turned you into a shopaholic! Well, actually, you and I are similar. My face is also pale compared to my body. What I have been loving this summer is:

I mix it with my usual foundation shade, 50/50 and apply with a foundation brush. The tint darkens the overall shade, but in a natural/dewy looking way. It also moisturizes and has an SPF 15! For the scarring… have you ever tried a glycolic peel?

Here’s an oldie… but a goodie that helped me so much with acne scarring:

With regard to moisturizers for evening… I have way too many to mention! LOL. Is your skin generally oily, dry, or combo?

Thanks!! I really like the photos showing what Estee Lauder sheer tint can do…great before and after shot.
I’m really interested in the brazilian glycolic treatment for my acne scars. The scars are really the only problem with my skin and since it is a relatively recent issue, I’m hoping to get rid of them asap. I think I’ll try the singleton out first before investing in the monthly treatment. This, of course, will mean another trip to Sephora in the next few days 🙂
I have not used Exuviance. What are Alpha and Polyhydroxy acids derived from?
As for night moisturizer, I have normal to dry, sensitive skin. I use a basic almond-aloe organic moisturizer from Whole Foods. I don’t know if it does anything, but at least it doesn’t make me break out!

I think either the peel or the Exuviance masque would work wonders for you. The basic gist of each of them is really the same. Glycolic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy, and the ingredient helps to hasten skin turnover (or–less nicely put–peel off the top damaged layers of your skin). The Exuviance masque worked wonders on my acne scarring, so I’d probably push you in that direction first. Our skin type is similar, so if you’re looking for a splurge you could always try Estee Lauder Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme for night use. However, if your product from Whole Foods is working for you, I think you should just stick with it!

I’ll try it out. It’s worth it because I would love to get rid of those little scars, although sometimes I wonder if only time will really help. Thanks for the tip – every Estee Lauder product I’ve used in the past has worked, so I’m willing to give this a shot, as well.
