These days it seems like there are countless “mega” eye palettes available to purchase. Don’t get me wrong, I adore a great large eye palette, but I know that large quantities of makeup aren’t a good fit for everyone. These new MAC Eye Shadow x 9 palettes are the perfect way to get the variety you crave in a small package. Each features nine different shades of shadow in the same sized compact as a typical MAC x 4 palette.
Burgundy times nine features an array of colors from neutrals to warm reddish plums, it features different finishes from matte to frost to metallic. Navy times nine features soft grays, glistening charcoals, soft blue. Overall the look is cool and subdued.

Shade included in the Burgundy Times Nine palette are: Honey Lust (a peachy bronze), Poppseed (a neutral pink), Quarry (a medium beige), Aniqued (a warm rusty brown), Embarked (a deep reddish brown), #Noir (a smoky ash brown), Haux (a rose hued neutral), Star Violet (a deep plum), and Sketch (a dark plum/brown). These shades are actually quite neutral. They lean rose, but for the most part contain shades of neutrals and browns.

Navy times nine features soft grays, glistening charcoals, and cool toned neutrals. Overall the look is cool and subdued. The shades in Navy Times Nine from top left to bottom are: Silver Fog (a pale pearly white), Blonde Mink (a pale latte shade), Copperplate (a medium ashy neutral), JG Gray (gray/blue), Mulled Over (a matte medium gray), Cast Iron (a deep brownish gray), Cloudscape (an olive neutral), Club (a rusty neutral), and Black Tied (a deep soft black). This palette reminds me of a cloudy, stormy sky.
