Hangin’ Loose With MAC Surf Baby
MAC Hangin’ Loose Nail Lacquer–part of their Surf Baby Colour collection– is a super-sheer skin-tone. MAC refers to it as a “dirty pink nude”, but I think the word “nude” is all that is really necessary to describe the shade. The appearance looks natural, but well-groomed. While Hangin’ Loose is a cream finish, this shade applies sheer. If you’re looking for opacity, you’ll need to apply three coats. Hangin’ Loose is a perfect mani shade for 2011, as it coordinates beautifully with the wild colors we’re all wearing on our toes this summer!
My experience with MAC Nail Lacquer is that it wears well, and is chip-resistant. The formula is also big-three free (DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde).
Retail price is $15.00.

I didn’t know MAC nail lacquer was free of those three chemicals. That’s great news. Has it always been the case? I bought a red nailpolish from them a few years ago and didn’t use it after hearing about all the chemicals in nailpolish….good to know now…

I really like this beachy collection…I love nudes and neutrals. Good contrast to some of MACs more bold colors.

MAC’s formulas have been “big-3” free since at least 2008, so if you purchased a shade 3 years ago, it should be free of those chemicals. Sadly, many other formulas still contained DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde.

Good to know! Thank you so much…I’ll definitely be picking up more colors from their beach line now.
