MAC always forces me to think beyond my makeup “comfort” zone. This gorgeous little Pearlmatte Eye Shadow compact had me at “hello” for it’s styling alone. The star of the Mac in Lillyland Collection, three eye shadow shades bloom before your eyes like an impressionist painting. What’s not to like?
But in terms of practicality, I was a skeptic. The rosy pink and pale white shades I was certain I could use, but what about the muted green? Well, I can honestly report this shadow trio has quickly become my new favorite toy. It’s incredible just how “neutral” green can be, especially this medium shade of olive. My favorite way to wear the shadow is with the rose shade applied heavily on the eyelid and blended upward to the browbone, the white shade just below the browbone to highlight, and the green shade in the crease or as an accent. When worn in the crease, the green shade combines with the rose shade to form a beautiful shade of brown. Worn as an accent, the green shadow is a beautiful compliment for you brown-eyed girls!
