I’ve long loved MAC Shadestick. Shadestick is packaged as a thick, retractable eye pencil. This format allows makeup amateurs to apply color precisely with zero tools. Simply swipe on the color where needed, and blend as desired. The texture of Shadestick is beautiful, a hybrid powder/cream consistency… it doesn’t have the dewy look some cream shadows do.

The swatches look so lovely!
The only thing I don’t understand, is that they used to be such a heavy hitter in the permanent line. Now they only seem to show up in limited collections. I originally thought they’d be replaced with the Greasepaint Sticks, but nope.. Shadesticks keep popping up every once in a while. LOL
These colors are SO pretty. I’ve owned other brands of shadow sticks and haven’t used them because I prefer pressed powder, but these I may have to check out 😀

Tamara, I couldn’t agree more! I love Shadestick. My hunch is we’ll be seeing a lot more of these in future collections. Jenn, you should definitely check these out… they do have the look of a powder shadow. Dee, Cakeshop and Tundra positively gleam! If you’re into metallics, these two are a must.
