Summer 2012 was all about VIBRANT BOLD shades. Fall 2012 is shaping up to be similar, but citrusy brights are being replaced with crisp, bold jewel-tones. Think electric shades of amethyst, sapphire, and emerald (though the emerald shade du jour leans toward teal).
Make Up For Ever is well known for an incredible array of color selection, and recently they added some new shades of Aqua Cream to their color lineup. This experienced makeup reviewer can definitively say that Make Up For Ever is consistently ahead of the trend. Their team introduced me to the orange lip TWO YEARS before the trend went mainstream, and this launch similarly shows the future as clearly as a crystal ball.
Trend Alert: Brights On The Eyes
In the case of Aqua Cream in 24 and 26, I don’t think you’ll have to wait two years before you witness them in use at the local mall. Shade 26 for example is a pure bright purple, and this particular color is heavily in use for just about every item of clothing for Fall 2012 (in particular pants). Aqua Cream 26 is an easy easy accent color to work into your routine to modernize your look.
Aqua Cream 24 is a bright pure yellow, and I know you’re thinking this shade is really only for use by a makeup artist on the runway. I’m betting we will actually see citrusy shades like this yellow working into our eye makeup as soon as Spring 2013. If you want to be known as a trendsetter, learn to use it now!
As always, Aqua Cream is a delight to use. The color is high-pigment, and applies with a creamy texture and long-wearing streak-free finish.
Retail price is $23.
