It was really tough for me to pick my favorite look, so I ultimately selected the most outrageous of the bunch as my entry!

I’ve named the above lip look “80s Homage”, as this is the exact type of craziness I once wore during that fun decade!  Such a shame I didn’t have Rouge Artist Intense lipstick then.  The color of these lipsticks is so rich and bright, it made creating well-defined stripes so easy!

To create the above look I used the following shades (from center, and working outward to corners):  Rouge Artist Intense 14, 21, 9, 15 and 17.

I call the look above the “Ultimate Red”.  In actuality, this lip look took four different shades to create!  I used Rouge Artist Intense 46 to line the lips, and blended it.  I filled in the lips with 21, and added touches of 9 (a fuchsia shade) here and there to make the lips appear fuller.  I then used 17, a gold shimmery shade, over the entire lip.  Is this glam or what?

The look above I call the “Ultimate Naked”.  I used Rouge Intense Mat 1 over the entire lip.  I applied Mat 4 to the outer corners, and blended it with Mat 3 leading to the center of the lip.  Once again, I topped the look with 17.  I know… using the gold nullified the Mat finish a wee bit, but what can I say?  I couldn’t keep my hands off golden #17!

The look above I call “Heart”.  Thinking of Valentine’s Day, I applied 47 all over, and then drew a chunky heart on the inner lip with 9.  I used 46 to line the heart shape, to make it stand out.  Up close, the heart is obvious, but from a distance this little design made the lips look extra pouty!

Finally, the above look I named “Mardi Gras”.  I was inspired by modern art, and was curious to see how well I could blend various Rouge Artist Lipstick shades into each other.  The above look used these shades, from left to right:  16, Moulin Rouge, 17, 15 and 14.  Check out the gradient appearance I was able to achieve!

Takeaways:  1)  Make Up For Ever Lip Brush #3N is amazing!  I was able to use it for both precision application, and for blending!  2)  17 (gold) is a must-have shade!  Used alone it is an over-the-top shade, but blended with other colors it gives them a major glam factor.
