Ok, so “million dollar” is a bit of hyperbole. This round of “Makeup Wars” was an amazingly fun challenge. Each of us decided to create a look using the most expensive items in our beauty cache!
To kick off the process, I scraped the bottom of my tub of Revision Skincare Multi Protection SPF 50 ($48), and patted on some Murad Essential-C Eye Cream ($57). Both are great to moisturize and protect from the sun’s rays.
Makeup Wars: Most Expensive Face
Then, I used Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum ($65) to perfect the texture of my cheeks. After that set, I applied NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaksa ($57) which is still a favorite of mine. To ensure my look was EXTRA expensive, I applied the NARS product with my Chanel Foundation Brush (No. 16 $40– and one of my favorites for a decade)!
I patted on some Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque ($23 also scraping the bottom of that one), used Make Up For Ever Eye Prime on the Lids ($22), Cargo Reverse Lip Liner ($16) to perfect the lip line.
I used Sephora XL Rounded Powder Brush #49 ($34) to apply Make Up For Ever High Definition Loose Powder ($32), and then applied Guerlain Meteorites Perles D’Or ($58) over that.
I dabbed some of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde ($28) on the apples of my cheeks using the Bobbi Brown Face Blender Brush ($45).
Using the Chanel 3 ($32) and 11 ($30) brushes and Sephora Domed Shadow Brush ($13), I applied shades from the Make Up For Ever La Boheme Palette (Originally $39, but on SALE for $25). Using Chanel #14 Brush ($28), I lined my eyes with MAC’s latest Electric Cool Eyeshadow in Coil ($18.50), and then applied Givenchy Magic Khol Eye Pencil in #15 ($22.50) by the lashline and smudged it to a smoky look using my Sephora Smudge Brush ($13). I used tarte Gifted Mascara($19) on the lashes.
I filled in my brows using Chanel Le Crayon Sourcils Precision Brow Definer in Blond-Taupe ($29), then applied a shade from the Le Metier de Beaute Kaleidoscope Lip Kit ($95) using my 3N brush from Make Up For Ever ($18).
Voila! The price of my “million dollar” face was actually $868. But still, that’s one pricey regimen! So… which beauty blogger managed to pull together the most expensive face? I’ll give you a hint… it wasn’t me! Click all of the links below to find out!

You look ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And your total wasn’t even that high. You need to post more pictures of your face because you are stunning! Did I miss it? I don’t see what lip color you used.

Thanks so much! Can’t wait to check out everyone else’s looks when I get home. I used a shade from the LMdB lip kit from the Northern Lights collection.

You look beautiful! Love those Meteorites. I use mine almost everyday for that extra “glow” that I so much lack.
Coco says
What an interesting challenge. I’m counting on my own makeup cost for the day as well. Lol.

What a beautiful look. It does look like a million and I hope you feel like a million looking this good.
I have a LMdB lip kit so if we ever do one of these again I’ll have to remember to use it.

The guerlain powder looks so fun
And your skin looks AMAZING! Would you consider reviewing the Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum please?
ragingrouge says
Hi Krystle! Sorry for the delayed response. I have reviewed the serum! Check it out here: https://www.ragingrouge.com/ragingrouge/2012/07/hourglass-no-28-primer-serum-review.html. It’s a favorite of mine.

I always recommend to my clients that they actually take care of their skin first. Make-up won’t cure wrinkles or blemishes, they’ll just temporarily hide them.
