Grey will continue to be huge on the scene for Fall 2012, and has quickly become a neutral staple in many makeup looks. Grey nails, in particular, will remain popular through the season. While pale shades of grey were popular for summer, deeper shades like NARS Storm Bird will prevail during Fall 2012.
Storm Bird Swatch and Review, NARS Fall 2012
NARS Storm Bird is a high-gloss dark slate grey. It’s a superb balance for a vibrant eye, or vibrantly colored clothing. I’m a fan of the NARS nail lacquer formula, as my experience with the product is that is wears well, and is chip-resistant. The formula is also DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free. I’ll be utilizing this shade quite a bit on both my hands and feet this season. I think NARS Storm Bird is also a great base shade for funky nail art! Wouldn’t a nice plum paisley nail stamp look wonderful over this?

I love the new grays! Last month I bought the Dior Nail lacquer in Gris Montaigne. It looked utterly perfect on my summer pedicure

As do I, Kate! I can’t honestly find a shade of gray that I don’t like these days. I’ve been wearing Milani Just Grayt this summer. It’s a really pale gray. But I’ll definitely be switching to a darker shade for Fall! NARS Storm Bird is just perfect.
