This product is a proud member of LORAC’s Spring 2014 lineup, and delivers a soft-focus eggshell finish to the skin.
LORAC POREfection Foundation Review
POREfection is available in 10 shades. Shown here are PR2 (left) and PR3 (right). There’s only one shade lighter than these two shades.
Above you can see PR2 and PR3 blended. Matching my skin has always been tricky, and I actually fall solidly between these two shades, for a perfect match on my face. PR2 and PR3 also lean a bit yellow in my opinion, so if you are fair-skinned with a pink hue you might have a hard time finding a match.
Shade limitations aside, POREfection is simply PERfection! Matte is huge this season, and this formula is a perfect happy-medium semi-matte that doesn’t make dry skin look drier, or settle into the fine lines of aging skin.
LORAC founder Carol Shaw is also committed to creating products with sensitive-skinned clients in mind. My skin is very sensitive and prone to allergic reaction, so I’m always thrilled when I see “fragrance free” on a label. Why would anyone want scent in a foundation, anyway?
POREfection is also oil-free and paraben-free. This product also contains ingredients to soothe sensitive skin, and also an SPF20 to provide UVA/UVB protection!
Retail is $36 for a 1.12 oz pump bottle.

The Blondeshell says
So I actually just picked this foundation up about 2 weeks ago and I have to say… I am in LOVE! I’ve been a mineral makeup girl for so long that I forgot what it was like to use traditional foundation. I have found it works really well with their primer, but unfortunately for me, the POREfection primer gave me some nasty breakouts… Yuck!
Anyway, great post! I just had to chime in about my love for this product. 🙂
Stay beautiful,
Casey (The Blondeshell)
