Ok, this is off-topic, but the more I write this blog, the more I realize that there will be many off-topic posts.
I purchased a Roomba and a Scooba in December ’06, and can’t say enough positive things about them. My house is cleaner than ever, with most rooms vacuumed at least once a week. My kitchen floor gets the 2x a week cleaning it needs (since our toddler enjoys throwing his food everywhere routinely).
Originally, my little one was totally freaked by our robots. Can’t say I blame him. But– unlike our Dyson– I could leave the room with him while they’re running, to avoid spooking him. His fear was temporary. Over time, he has come to regard the Roomba as a pet of sorts and loves to watch him in action.
Best part, they can reach in places that would take so much effort for me to clean. Under the beds, under the entertainment center, under dressers and nightstands. I love them!
Warning: Do not set your home alarm while they are in action. They will set off your motion detectors!
