It’s easy for many of us to get caught up in the minutia of our own lives and forget that a war on terror is still waging… Military wives have no such luxury. Every day, their thoughts are on the whereabouts and well being of the beloved husbands who sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
An acquaintance of mine, Janelle Mock, has recently published a book that will give you insight into the trials and tribulations of being an Army wife. Portraits of the Toughest Job in the Army: Voices and Faces of Modern Army Wives is a collection of over twenty memoirs from Army wives. A portion of the proceeds of this book with be donated to the Fisher House Organization, dedicated to aiding military families.
For those of you in the Seattle area, you can watch her on Komo-TV’s "Northwest Afternoon" on September 17th.
Please take a minute out of your schedule to check out Janelle’s website to read about upcoming projects, and to check out her book at Amazon.
