Regular readers of the Raging Rouge beauty blog are familiar with my hair cleansing woes. My scalp is so sensitive, some shampoos and conditioners actually eat through my skin. No exaggeration, my allergic reaction is as if someone dripped sulfuric acid on my scalp!
Still, for the sake of blogging I’ve been powering through and testing new shampoo and conditioners. Lately, I’ve found some real winners… thank the scalp-Gods!
Finesse Clean + Simple is my latest drugstore hair cleansing favorite. The line intentionally excludes every single ingredient with a history of causing skin irritation, includi8ng sulfates, parabens, gluten and dyes. The line is hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested and inexpensive (it’s second-best quality). Retail price is $3.99 per bottle!
I tested the formula for normal hair. The result was much what I would expect of a clarifying shampoo and conditioning treatment. My hair felt squeaky clean! Clean + Simple removed my styling products effectively and left it looking super-shiny. I look forward to buying the dry/color treated option the next time I hit a drugstore, and will report back to you when I try it out!
