When I was 23, I was trying hard to find my way in the world. Over-educated and inexperienced, I longed for a position that would truly challenge me, but the best jobs of the bunch weren’t willing to take a chance on me.
In retrospect, I really wish I had simply taken a chance on myself and launched my own business! When you’re confident in your abilities, investing in yourself is a brilliant move. That’s exactly what Sheena St. Surin did. At 23, she is the founder of Finger Sweets, a boutique brand dedicated to all things mani/pedi! From polishes to nail art, Finger Sweets has a fun selection.
Here’s a photo of my own quickie-pedi, wearing Finger Sweets Citrus Splash nail polish and wearing my beloved Boutique 9 sandals. Bright pedicure shades with strappy summer sandals are such a great combination for the Summer of 2011.
Retail price is $9. Finger Sweets polishes are free of DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde.
Even if you’re not in the market for nail lacquer, surf on over to Sheena’s website, MyFingerSweets.com. View her cool “Nail Art Design Video” collection, where Sheena herself will show you how to achieve the nail looks you’ve always dreamed of!

that is very impressive. do you know of any interviews or articles about her…as someone in her age group, also “trying hard to find my way in the world,” I would love to know more about how she started..
