MAC addicts everywhere will recognize Vintage Grape, this purple-hued blush ombre (retail $26) from the Spring Colour Forecast, circa 2010. My only criticism of that purple makeup collection–specifically Spring Colour Forecast 3–was that it was ill-timed, and not really appropriate for Spring.
It appears that Daphne Guinness herself agreed with that assessment. Vintage Grape has been resurrected, but is now available for purchase in the limited-edition Daphne Guinness for MAC winter makeup selection.
Presenting: Daphne Guinness for MAC
If “greige” is the shade of the moment, Daphne’s picks contain a new twist on this uber-trendy twist of gray. “Gruple” shades abound, spiced up with coordinating lilacs, violets and eggplants. She tosses in contrasting seafoam and crimson, and the result is a work of modern art. I am crazy about the Daphne Guinness palette. It’s simultaneously appropriate for winter and cruise, and a wonderful way to ring in 2012!
