I generally try to avoid the local drugstore. It’s not that I don’t love it, but rather that I love it a bit too much, and seem to get trapped in some sort of time vortex once I start browsing. I can spend hours wandering the beauty aisles! Introducing The Team
Above are images of some of the products I incorporated into my new Spring look: L’Oreal Butterfly Mascara, L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Stain, L’Oreal Miracle Blur Eye Cream, L’Oreal Curve It Hair Styling Cream, and NIVEA A Kiss of Care & Color Lip Care.
Step 1 to achieve my look is to protect the pucker with NIVEA Color Lip Care! The NIVEA product is not new to me. As you’ve gathered from reading this blog, my love-affair with NIVEA was rekindled, and I’ve been using NIVEA lip care product all winter long to protect my lips from becoming overly dry and chapped. It’s easy to remember this step if you buy NIVEA A Kiss of Care & Color and carry it in your bag, because this balm leaves behind a gorgeous trace of color. My favorite shade is Sheer Berry, but Sheer Coral is also perfect for Spring.
Step 2 is to apply L’Oreal Curve It Curl Taming Cream to damp hair after you shower. One pump is all that is necessary. Start application at roots and work upward. I have naturally curly hair that I usually wear straight, and this product is amazing for taming frizz and leaving hair smooth and shiny.
Step 3 is to apply L’Oreal Miracle Blur Eye Cream under the eyes on clean, dry skin. This oil-free under-eye moisturizer can be worn both under makeup or applied at night. It’s not only an anti-aging treatment, Miracle Blur Eye Cream provides some instant camouflage for aging skin using light-diffusing technology.
Step 4, I applied my usual foundation, concealer, powder, eye shadow and eye pencil. Then I got to play with the new L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. This mascara is crazy efficient at delivering extra length to those outer lashes thanks to the shape of the applicator. The longer bristles of the mascara wand should always be at the outer corner of the eye, making those lashes so long and luxe! The underside of the brush has short bristles, perfect for a quick swipe along the lower lashes.
Step 5 I applied a cream cheek color, and then finished off the look with L’Oreal Colour Riche Lip Stain in Coral Tattoo. This orange hue leans red, and is a great choice to usher in the Spring season. Coral Tattoo instantly brightens any look! Another perk? It wears like a gloss, but delivers the long-lasting color of a stain. I’m crazy about this product, as I don’t have frequent opportunities to reapply my lip color throughout the day.

I paired my new makeup look with a blue knit top and a tangle of my favorite necklaces.
