beauty news, Estee Lauder, Fuchsia Now, Limited-Edition, beauty blog product review I'm so thrilled to be writing about Spring collections, as it is the first sign every year that we can soon bid Winter a fond adieu! Estee Lauder has recently announced the introduction of their new limited-edition Spring collection, Fuchsia Now!

You can see from the image, that this collection is easy on the eyes. The Fleur de Lys Shimmer Powder (far left) combine neutral and pink shades to enhance your skin's natural glow. Signature Satin Creme Blush (available in Berry Light and Nude Light) hydrates skin while providing dewy, buildable coverage. Signature Silky Eyeshadow Duo is embossed with a fleur de lys design and available in rich, deep Indigo and the regal Aubergine (pictured far right).

Bold pink shades and eternally wearable nudes for the nails and lips abound! Those lusting for a bit of pink can indulge in Signature Hydra Lustre Lipstick in shades of Rich Berry and Mayfair Mauve. Neutral lipstick shades include Perfect Nude and Earthen Nude. Pure Color Gloss is available in Fresh Berry and Honey Flower. Pure Color Nail Lacquer is available in shades of Fuchsia and Honey Flower (perfectly coordinating the lips and the fingertips!).

Benefit Cosmetics Spring 2009: CORALista

Usually, the sequel is not as good as the original. But as time passes and Benefit adds more shades to its collection of face powders, they seem to get better and better! CORALista is a deep, apricot/pink shade that is intended to conjure images of exotic, tropical locales… and it leaves a flush as subtle as Rio's Carnival!

Darker shades of cheek color are making a serious appearance this Spring, and I for one am loving it. My personal opinion is these shades make the wearer appear more youthful (something I'm certainly striving for). CORALista is a great purchase if you intend to embrace this new look.

This shade has the added bonus of being univerally flattering!

MAC Dame Edna!

MAC Dame Edna product review, beauty blog I dread this time of year. During the winter months, Seattle is overcome with darkness and rain. Holiday decorations help take the edge off of the bleak feeling during December, but once they come down… despair!

Not this year, possums! MAC recently launched the Dame Edna collection, a collaboration between MAC and Dame Edna Everage. This collection blows winter doldrums right out of the water with saturated color and sparkle!

When I first caught a glimpse of this collection, I was riveted by the tongue-in-cheek "Varicose Violet" nail lacquer. This bright pinkish purple is an ideal shade to introduce a punch of color into a monochromatic season. Beyond that, it's great for cruise, Spring or Summer!

The Dame Edna Eye Trios feature vibrant shades of blue and purple. I'm nowhere near at glam as Dame Edna, but I'll be lining my eyes routinely with the darker shades in the Royal Tour Eye Trio. This shadow palette pairs two limited edition shades (Dame’s Desire and Royal Tour) with an old favorite, Climate Blue.

My favorite item? The amazing High-Light Powders in peach and pink, with hints of gold introduced through Dame Edna’s signature written on top and lightly sprinkled throughout the product. This product makes the skin positively glow!

MAC Dame Edna cases are bespeckled with images of her famous specs and bedazzled like the Dame's dresses. Adorable! Dame Edna nail lacquer retails for $11, High-Light powders retail for $26, and eye trios retail for $32.50.

Thinking Outside The Box With MAC

MAC Ungaro collection The eagerly awaited Ungaro collection by MAC flew off the shelves rather quickly when it was first introduced, but there are still a few products available for sale online! One of my personal favorites is a departure from my usual routine.

Cream Color in Fresh Morning: This product is named so appropriately. While this color is good for both lips and cheeks, I've been using it on my cheeks and cheekbones exclusively.
