Cosmetics with names and scents to tempt your sweet-tooth are everywhere.  Hit any beauty boutique, and you’ll see wide-eyed drooling women behaving–quite literally–like kids in a candy shop.  Is it any surprise that Bourjois chose to package their eyeshadow in candy-colored opaque cases as a sure way to catch the eye?

These versatile domed shadows by Bourjois are a wet/dry formula.  I sampled the recently released Ambre Nude #16, and Rose Peau #15 shades.  Used dry, both colors of this silky high-pigment shadow are beautiful for everyday wear.  They are very neutral shades with just a hint of feminine color.  But used wet, these colors becomes rich and dramatic.  Rose Peau in particular, was a delight.  Applied dry, it’s a soft pink shadow with just a hint of shimmer.  Applied wet, it was transformed to an extremely sophisticated high-shimmer silvery pink shade.  Glancing at my sparkling lids in the mirror, I wished I had a party to attend!

Bonus!  Each shadow case matches its contents, making it infinitely easier to find the exact color you are searching for in a crowded makeup case!

I love the precisely-lined eye that only liquid liner can create.  Problem is, I find applying liquid liners difficult.  My hand is steady as a rock, but brushes with too much give are too challenging for my use.  David Scott’s Advanced Waterproof Eyeliner has a brush stiff enough to apply liner with laser-like precision, but soft enough to eliminate tugging at the skin.  I applied this eyeliner perfectly to my lids on my first try! 

I sampled this product in Teal, and love the rich flash of color.  What a stand-out way to shed winter-drab color.  To top it all off, the David Scott waterproof formula is even smudge proof!
