I can't remember exactly how it started, but my sister became known to us affectionately as "Lee Lee". In fact, her nieces and nephews all call her "Auntie Lee Lee". Naturally, upon receiving samples of each scent in the new Crescent Row collection by Benefit, I instinctively reached for the bottle "laugh with me LeeLee" first.
I was immediately taken by the light, playful floral fragrance. It's completely unobtrusive, and perfect for Summertime. But upon reading more about the personas behind each scent, I felt that Sofia was a better match for my personality… Slightly richer, the warm vanilla notes of "something about Sofia" won my heart. Next, I reached for Gina. This is the "come-hither" scent you need to snag the guy! Sexy stuff!
Here are descriptions of the three scents from the Benefit website (with my own short take in parens).
laugh with me Lee Lee: (the light, fun scent) woody floral – a light blend of citrus, jasmine & lily blossoms. a naturally light scent with a classic feminine style
something about Sofia: (the pristine, beautiful scent) oriental floral – a dream of oriental blossoms, mango & vanilla an intriguing & mysterious scent with a free spirit
my place or yours Gina: (the sexy, sensual scent) woody oriental – an alluring affair of pink pepper, wild raspberry & patchouli. a seductively provocative scent with a "flaunt it if you've got it" attitude
Ok, the truth is… I'm totally torn here. I sampled each of the three scents, and let my husband inhale their essences on my skin as well. While I love all of them, my personal favorites are Lee Lee and Sofia. My husband's favorite is Gina! What's a girl to do? Guess I'll need all three…
Each scent in Benefit's Crescent Row fragrance collection is packaged in an adorable gleaming gold cocktail shaker. Retail price is $36 for a 1 oz. bottle.

Many brands attempt to successfully combine beauty products and an accessory. Some succeed, most fail and only a precious few really knock it out of the ballpark. To continue the baseball analogy, the Babe Ruth in this arena is Estee Lauder, in the form of their high-end solid perfume compacts.
In honor of the 1-year anniversary of the fragrance Sensuous, Estee Lauder has launched a limited-edition collection to celebrate the popular scent. Part of the lineup is a weighty rose-gold-toned compact (pictured far left in the image above). Hung by a feminine purple cord, it gives the appearance that you stumbled upon granddad's old pocket-watch in the attic, and styled it to make it your own.
Inside the compact is Estee Lauder's Sensuous in solid form. How I wish more fragrance had been available in solid form during my road-warrior days! Frequent travelers for business or pleasure will love that this product completely eliminates purse leaks and worries about FAA regulations! This solid perfume compact is the ultimate ultra-portable beauty accessory.
Retail price is $120.

Don't miss the latest scent from the Estee Lauder Private Collection! Jasmine White Moss adds even more mystique and prestige to the exclusive ranks of Tuberose Gardenia and Amber Ylang Ylang. The formula itself was started by Estee, but left incomplete. Aerin knew the job was hers to finish, and Jasmine White Moss is the result.
