Greetings, beauty aficionados!
When I was in junior high, it was common for girls to ask if they could look through your bag. The snooping was partially to pass the time, but was also a way of saying “I’d like to get to know you better. What can I find out about you if I look through your stash?”
As an adult, etiquette prevents us from continuing this behavior, so I’m offering the next best thing! Welcome to the “Best Selling Beauty” feature! The question posed to some of my favorite beauty brands was: “What was your #1 best-selling product from Q1 2010, measured by units sold?” The following products are the “go-to” beauty products purchased by women thus far in 2010. Hope it satisfies your curiosity! If not, it’s a great head-start on gift ideas for Mom!

Until recently, my exposure to Avon cosmetics was limited. Recently I received a sample of Avon’s Ultra Color Rich Mega Impact Lipstick SPF15 in the shade “Pink Pop” and I’ve been hooked ever since. This lipstick manages to kill more than two birds with one stone! The moisturizing formula is kind to dry lips, the SPF15 will protect lips from sun damage, and the price is gentle on the wallet!
Regular price is only $8 per lipstick! It’s a great deal, and my favorite budget lipstick!

Lately, I’ve been loving the Spring 2010 makeup collection from gloMinerals. Specifically, I find myself selecting this gloss shade from my makeup bag on a regular basis.
When I worked at a deli during my teen years, many customers would order their coffee “light and sweet”. “Light and Sweet” meant a TON of milk and a TON of sugar. The color of this gloss is exactly the shade of coffee served light and sweet. Just a touch darker than nude, with a hint of brown. It’s a universally flattering shade, and the formula is completely scent and flavor-free!
Retail price is $15.50. To buy this product or to check out the plethora of other shades of gloGloss available at gloMinerals, CLICK HERE to head over to gloskincare.com.

My last post included an example of cosmetics that should be used together to achieve the best result. Here’s another example from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection!
Blooming Lovely Lipstick is a super-opaque, cool shade of lilac. English Accents Tinted Lipglass is a sheer, cool shade of pink. Stand alone, they’re lovely. Paired up? They positively POP! Scroll down for swatches.
Retail price of Tinted Lipglass is $14.
