It's a bit bizarre looking, but apparently this complexion powder by Too Faced makes the skin look positively radiant! Smurfette's yellow hair and blue skin help to counter blotchiness or rosacea. The pink, peach and white shades highlight and illuminate. Blue and pink combine to improve sallow complexions. Just swirl it all together and apply! The Too Faced So Smurfy collection also includes a liquid liner and shadow quad. Retail price of the powder pictured is $26. J. Lynne Mineral Blush
Want the healthy glow of a dancer that just finished the Flamenco, but don't want to spend a fortune to get it? J. Lynne Cosmetics recently introduced the Latin Rhythms Blush Collection, with 6 gorgeous shades perfect for Spring!
Among the many things I love about this line of mineral makeup is that J. Lynne Cosmetics really wants to get samples into your hands. Generous sample sizes of these blushes all retail for only $1.50 each, so you can sample the entire collection before committing to one shade. But, when you finally decide to commit, you'll be happy to know a full-sized jar only retails for $9. A great deal for a great product!
Jessica Lynne Miller–a gorgeous redhead with utterly glowing skin–founded the company after years of allowing traditional cosmetics to stress her sensitive acne-prone skin. Her line is completely free of chemicals, synthetics, fragrances and dyes. Also missing from the J.Lynne formula? Bismuth oxychloride, carmine, cornstarch, talc, or preservatives… all ingredients sometimes found in other mineral makeup lines.
J.Lynne Cosmetics are cruelty-free and 100% natural. The makeup is even vegan-friendly (I know my Seattle-area readers will certainly appreciate that!)

MAC Sugarsweet: Lemon Chiffon Shadestick
I had never sampled MAC Shadestick prior to the release of 5 new shades as part of the Sugarsweet collection. But now that I have, I am hooked!
I'm a recent convert to cream-based shadows, and must say that I'm loving the slender retractable option by MAC. Shadestick is extremely easy to control during application (much easier than a fingertip!). The pigment-rich shadow is creamy, and blends easily once applied. I love the shade Lemon Chiffon, a frosty golden shade that makes an ideal highlight for this time of year. Apply directly to the browbone for some warm highlighting action.
The shades available as part of the Sugarsweet collection are: Cakeshop (a frosted pewter), Lemon Chiffon (the frosted pale white gold pictured here), Butternutty (frosted light neutral beige), Red Velvet (frosted mid-tone pink) and Penny (light pinky copper).
Retail is a mere $16.50 per stick!
Philosophy Red Licorice High Foaming Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath
I've never been a fan of Twizzlers. Even during the fat-free diet craze of the early 90s, I still never picked the red licorice at the concessions counter in a movie theater.
Fast forward 10 years, when I joined some colleagues to watch a Mariners game on a sunny Spring day. My co-workers were enjoying all sorts of treats, including many I had never tasted. I was offered a Red Vine and almost immediately passed– it was just like a Twizzler, right? But for some reason, I accepted the candy.
That moment sparked an obsession with Red Vines that exists to this day. So SO yummy!
I've written about Philosophy's amazing 3-in-1 Shampoo, Shower Gel and Bubble Bath in the past. The Cinnamon Buns scent has been a staple in my bathroom for years, and I never dreamed I could find another scent equally appealing, but the Red Licorice scent smells exactly, exactly like the Red Vines I love and crave.
Want to try it? Retail price of a 16 oz. bottle is $16.
