Jaqua Beauty Introduces: The Necessary Bag
I must confess: When it comes to packing beauty supplies for travel, I do a poor job. My makeup bag of choice is generally a one-gallon capacity ziplock bag (or five… but who’s counting?). While these baggies prevent leaks from destroying my clothes quite nicely, the problem of organization rears its ugly head when I arrive at my destination. Immediately, I commandeer the bathroom counter-top of my host, and the entire bathroom looks cluttery and awful until I leave.
Well, no more! The Necessary Bag is ideal for a beauty-addict like me. It’s ample 10.25" h x 3" d x 8.5" w dimensions can house everything I would possibly need for even weeks of travel. The sisters Jaqua smartly chose to construct this bag of nylon and PVC with a polyurethane coating (easily wiped off after spills). The clear compartments ensure you can locate what you need without having to dump the contents all over a counter-top. The inner–extremely spacious–compartment is even removable! Top handles make it easy to carry on its own, or to graciously hang from a hook on the back of a bathroom door (particularly useful in hotels)!
The Necessary Bag is part of Jaqua Beauty’s new line of beauty storage solutions that all come in their signature colors of pink and brown: The Getaway Bag (retail of $58), The Necessary Bag (retail of $38) and Treasure Bags (retail of $28). Check them out if you need a beautiful way to get organized!
Drugstore Chic: Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
Herbal Essences insists that this Valentine’s Day, you be in a long-term relationship… with your hair, that is. Specifically designed for the care of long hair, the focus of the Long Term Relationship collection is to prevent split ends.
Sure, we all need to protect our tresses from the harsh damage caused by coloring and heat-styling. But what really won me over is the delicious scent of this rich moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. The berry fragrance is just to die for. Long Term Relationship also adds such wonderful texture to the hair. For one with limp tresses like mine, it’s a welcome addition to the routine.
Shampoo, conditioner and split end protector each retail for $2.99. Read more about this line on the Herbal Essences website, or buy it in your local drugstore.
Make Up For Ever: Lashes, Lashes, Lashes!
Confession: I love The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. I’m not totally sure why, but watching the show is a guilty pleasure of mine. Sure, Janice can be intensely emotional, abrasive and sometimes even abusive; but she’s also proved to be loyal, creative and endlessly versatile. Plus, at 50+ she’s still drop dead gorgeous and incredibly stylish.
Until I started watching Janice in action, I thought false eyelashes should be reserved for special occasions or transvestites. But, when she wears them, her eyes are beautifully showcased– like taking a great photo and finding it that perfect frame to show it off. Feel like framing your eyes? Make Up For Ever just so happens to offer an impressive variety of obviously and not-so-obviously fake lashes. From a gorgeous natural-looking black fringe to lashes adorned with shades of green and feathers, they literally offer every option you could even imagine.
Check out these lashes at Sephora, and the Make Up For Ever website!
ATOPALM-MLE Skincare
Ever heard of ATOPALM Skincare? Don’t worry… I hadn’t either. But please, allow me to introduce the two of you. Now that I’ve sampled ATOPALM, this product is officially a friend of "ours" here at Raging Rouge.
Facial Cleanser Foam Wash: An extremely gentle facial cleanser, ATOPALM Facial Foam Wash is dispensed from a pump already foamy. It’s like a bubble bath for your face! Specifically designed to maintain the skin’s pH balance, this cleanser is amazingly effective as well as good for the skin.
MLE Face Cream: This moisturizer works to not only moisturize your skin, but to replenish the skin’s natural defenses. What better way to heal dry skin, than to help it heal itself?
MLE Cream: For tough-to-soften areas like elbows and knees, ATOPALM MLE Cream is a concentrated formula to give extra attention to super dry skin. I was astonished by the quick results my skin enjoyed when I started to use this gem.
Body Wash: Soaps are so drying and damaging… ATOPALM’s body wash maintains skin’s pH balance (as the facial foam wash does). Calming herbal Rosemary and Lavender scents even help to soothe irritated skin.
The entire ATOPALM line is specifically designed to be used by those with the most dry and sensitive skin (including conditions like Rosacea and Eczema). Looking to streamline bathroom clutter? Most of these products are fragrance free, and those with fragrance don’t smell girly at all. This entire skincare line is ideal for either a man or a woman.
