In case you haven’t heard of the website "43 Things", let me bring you up to speed.  People around the world are publicly committing to the 43 things they most want to accomplish in their lifetime.  Many friends of the Raging Rouge Beauty Blog have lists, so I decided to start one of my own.

1)  Earn a royal title
2)  Become an Italian style icon
3)  Start my own wildly successful, luxury beauty line

After writing #3, I took pause.  I realized I was listing the accomplishments of the late Princess Marcella Borghese, founder of Borghese Cosmetics!

Married into Italian royalty, Princess Marcella Borghese had an affinity for beauty products.  The Princess was so in love with cosmetics, her lipsticks were custom-made to perfectly match her clothing!  Borghese’s business debut was in fact not makeup alone, but a line of coordinating cosmetics and attire!  How royally stylish!

Fango Active Mud for Face and Body is the cornerstone of the Borghese Spa Collection.  Introduced in the early 80’s the Fango line has consistently remained a best-seller.  Let’s face it, you can’t get much more regal than a full-body mask in the comfort of your own bathroom.  Don’t be afraid to pile it on thick!  The more the better (Borghese recommends a layer about 1/4 inch thick on the skin).  The mud originates in the volcanic hills of Tuscany, and absorbs impurities.  Added peppermint oil gives a hint of a menthol-scent, and causes the skin to tingle slightly.  Remove the mask after 2-5 minutes, and you’ll notice your skin looks clean and invigorated.  My skin actually felt smoother! 

Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body is available in two sizes.  A 7.0 oz. tube retails for $33 and a 17.6 oz. gorgeous glass jar retails for $59.50 at Borghese.  Treat yourself to a little at-home pampering.  You deserve it!

BECCA.  The name itself conjures up images of the girl-next-door.  She’s drop-dead gorgeous, but never EVER overdone.  Her beauty is natural and youthful, not a hint of vixen.

Founded by Rebecca Morrice Williams, BECCA cosmetics strives to conceal imperfections without sacrificing the appearance of natural beauty.  Pancaked makeup is simply not an option for BECCA. 

Perfectly in line with this corporate philosophy, BECCA offers Luminous Skin Colour.  This lightly tinted moisturizer can be applied to the face and throat just like any other moisturizer, but contains just a hint of color to even skin tone.  It’s barely-there coverage minimizes ruddiness, but still allows your natural beauty to shine through.  This product keeps skin soft, and even protects it with an SPF 25+!

As a beauty blogger, I tell-all about the products I sample.  When I discover a star in the vast universe of cosmetics, I shout about it from the highest mountain.  Prior to my beauty blogging days, I kept many secrets.  When I found makeup that made my skin look younger or shadow that made my eyes pop, I was not quick to offer the valuable information to others.  What I am saying is this:  If I was not the author of a beauty blog, Benefit’s "That Gal" brightening foundation primer would remain my little secret. 

"That Gal" makes the skin’s surface appear smoother, and provides an excellent base for makeup to wear longer.  The pink tone of this foundation primer illuminates the skin, making it appear youthful and vibrant.  Though intended to be used under foundation, this product can be worn stand-alone and reapplied over makeup throughout the day!  Don’t worry if you’re not naturally the rosy-glow type.  My skin has natural yellow undertones.  This product neutralized my sallow skin and blended perfectly.  As a bonus, this product actually smells like candy!  Love it!
