Well here we are, it’s mid-September, and the Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale has just started! Until September 29, 2024, entering the promo code “FRIENDS” during checkout will score you a big discount on some amazing luxury brands. The discount is 25% off select items, and 20% off designer fine jewelry, small electrics, cookware and other select categories. As always, everything that qualifies is labeled and easy to find! Bloomingdales Friends and Family 2024
Generally, the Bloomie’s F&F discount is 20% off of fashion and home items, and 10% off of electronics. During the Bloomingdales’ Friends and Family 2022 sale, the discount was increased to a more generous 25%. I expect this 25% discount to continue in 2023 if the economy remains weak. Recently Bloomingdales’ has also offered discounts using a buy more save more strategy, where spending over their top tier threshold yields a 30% discount off of the merchandise included in the sale. Not too shabby!
Bloomingdales is usually the first department store to offer a friends and family discount in the fall to kick off the holiday shopping season. If your favorite items don’t qualify for the sale, no worries. Bloomingdales usually offers $25 in Loyallist Rewards for every $100 you spend on items that don’t qualify for the F&F discount. Take note: discounts on the electronics and fine jewelry categories are usually capped at 20% and some beauty purchases are discounted by only 10%.

When will the Spring Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale 2025 be held?
The first Bloomies Spring sale will be held in early April 2025, and I’m already looking forward to shopping it! The promo code required to score the 25% discount will be published here as soon as it is available. This is a great time to stock up on Spring and Summer essentials, get a head start on Mother’s Day shopping, or shop for that perfect graduation gift. The second Bloomingdales.com Friends and Family 2025 sale is expected to start in June and is usually perfect timing to score an additional discount off of designer clearance merchandise.
When will the Fall Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale 2025 be held?
Bloomingdales plans to hold a Fall 2025 F&F sale in September which is perfect timing for back to school shopping! The second Bloomingdales F&F Fall 2025 sale will begin in early to mid-November. While promotional codes were needed during checkout in the past, in 2024 Bloomingdales instead had all items that qualify for the discount clearly marked and automatically reduced when you added them to your cart. I expect this to continue in 2025. In addition, Loyalists earned triple points during this sale. This was Bloomingdale’s little way of appreciating the frustration with exclusions and rewarding you generously for all purchases. Let’s hope this remains the same in 2025!
What Brands Are Usually Excluded From The Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale?
There was a time I would publish a huge list of brand exclusions, but I’m going to avoid this going forward. Now that Bloomingdales literally marks included items for you on the site, it’s possible that only select items from specific brands will be included. Just remember that Bloomingdales usually excludes luxury/prestige brands from this huge sale.
Bloomingdales Friends and Family Sale 2025
Do you think I am already looking ahead to 2025 already? Well you are correct! The first Bloomingdales friends and family 2025 sale will be held in early April 2025, and the second will be in early June 2025. The Fall 2025F&F discount at Bloomies will likely begin at the end of September 2025 or early October 2025. Sometimes an additional F&F sale is held at the end of the year, so if there is a fourth sale I would expect it to be held in December 2025.
