Sephora’s expected Friends and Family discount has caused quite a stir. Namely because the company has decided to pretend this discount is some top-secret, little known event that has somehow erroneously leaked to the public.
Huh? We’ve all had it in our calendars for years, at this point! Anywho, if you’re in the dark, click HERE to be directed to a page when you can submit your email address to score a one-time 20% off code.
Sephora’s Amazing 100-Point Reward
Naturally, like most smart shoppers, I use discount codes as an opportunity to stock up on my staple products. One such product I fill my cabinets with is cleanser. Since I started using Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple facial cleanser, I’ve been hooked. It’s a powerful makeup remover, helps keep acne in check and is moderately gentle. Best of all, the price-point is moderate, especially if you purchase a value size.
So, I was a bit depressed to discover that the whoppingly huge bottle of Purity that I usually buy (a 32 oz. bottle is only $47.50) was sold out when I tried to check out. (It’s back in stock now, BTW).
When I started the checkout process, I was informed I could add a 20 oz. bottle of Purity to my cart for… FREE. Um, what? Is that a joke? Nope! Beauty Insider memebers will be issued an extremely generous product during checkout this week, with an opportunity to select from PeterThomasRoth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel, Philosophy Purity Made Simple and Murad Clarifying Cleanser. Turns out the “gift” bottle might be a bit smaller. The size is now reading as 12 oz. on the site. Both sizes I’ve never seen offered by Philosophy, so I’m not really sure what will arrive. But even if it’s only an 8 oz. bottle, that’s still a $20 freebie added onto a 20% order discount. Sweet!
