My kids are in a new school this year, and their day starts really early. After a solid decade of waking up naturally, my family is now alarm-dependent and literally up before the sun. The only perk to this new schedule is every weekday I have the pleasure of watching the sun rise, and in the desert that event is a feast of color. In fact, the colors I see on the horizon each morning remind me of the Smashbox Ablaze Cover Shot Eye Palette. This palette is “desert inspired” according to the Smashbox website. I’ll take it one step further and say it’s clearly inspired by a vivid desert sunrise.
Smashbox Ablaze Cover Shot Eye Palette
Feast your eyes on the colors of the desert! When the sun rises over the dark mountains, regal reds light up rugged rocky paths. All of the colors I see each morning are represented in Ablaze. It’s truly an amazing palette for those who love the colors of the desert terrain when the sun rises or sets. Swatches shown above: (at top) Relaxed (a pale sandy beige) and Moccasin (a golden peach) are the base colors in this palette. (At bottom) from left to right at bottom are Siesta (rust), Nirvana (soft red), Delirious (deep metallic brown), Torch (orange), Throwback (rust), and Dark Horse (deep coffee).
Don’t forget the low retail price of $29! Retailers include Smashbox.com, Sephora, Macys.com, Nordstrom, and Ulta.
