Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Swatches, Matte
This photo shows the matte shades included in the Full Exposure Palette, with no primer. As you can see, the color payoff is already amazing without primer. Application is smooth, and streak free. I adore the cashmere-soft look of these matte shades.
The swatches above show the matte shades applied over the primer. There really isn’t too much of a difference in intensity, as far as my eye can see. This is good, of course, as you don’t want the appearance of your shadow to change too much when using a primer! Most notable is that the pale shades are more intense with a primer, and I felt the black also took on a much deeper look.
Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Swatches, Pearl
Above are swatches of the pearl shades in the Full Exposure palette. Look at how these colors gleam in the sunlight!
Here are the pearl shades applied after a primer. Again, there is a subtle difference, but nothing huge. Similar to the matte shades, the intensity change of the paler shades is most notable.
Smashbox Full Exposure Palette Swatches With Photo Finish 24 Hour Shadow Primer
This image shows the before/after primer photos next to each other, so you can compare them closely. As you can see, using the Smashbox Photo Finish 24 Hour Shadow Primer is not going to change the look of the shadows you already love! What it DOES do is ensure they stay on your lids for longer. I even noticed the difference when removing these swatches with eye makeup remover. It took more product and more cotton pads to fully remove these shadows when applied over the primer.
Retail price is $49 for the Full Exposure Palette and $20 for the Photo Finish Shadow Primer. Don’t forget the F&F sale gives you a 25% discount if you buy them both!
