I’ve been revisiting old favorite products in recent weeks, and was reswatching this MAC Lip Pencil, in Stripdown, when it occurred to me that this shade is so “now”, I should definitely give you a second look.
The finish is perfectly matte, but not dry and chalky. Stripdown is a medium neutral that works for any skintone. It’s the darker “new neutral” lip shade for those with fair skin, and an ideal match for those with darker skin. MAC Lip Pencil is long wearing, and an excellent base for your favorite gloss. It’s also super-glam stand-alone!

Thanks so much for this swatch! As a WOC (woman of color), MAC SA are so quick to pawn off Chesnut lipliner on us, but I can see that this looks more au naturale for my skintone (NW45). I can totally see me wearing this with Clearglass or Sapalicious lip gelee, and accomplishing a more natural “nude” lippie.
