Switchflops rank high on my list of cool concepts. First, pick your favorite style and color from their list of shoes and flip flops (yes… there is even an adorable kitten-heeled shoe to select from)! Then, select your size. Finally, select the strap colors you love. The Switchflops website will even give you a preview of the combinations you create, so you can see exactly what it looks like before you buy!
But here's the true beauty of the concept: rather than change your entire shoe to coordinate with your wardrobe, all you need to do is remove the velcro-backed Switchflop strap, and replace it with a different color! This enables one person to own dozens of different looks, for a fraction of the price of buying dozens of pairs of shoes (not to mention, they take up much less space in the closet)!
One of the latest new designs is the Taylor wedge, pictured above. This spongy flip-flop is oh-so-comfortable, but gives a bit of height. It's the perfect choice for women who normally wouldn't go anywhere without heels! The Taylor retails for $39. If I were to order 6 different strap designs, my total price would only be $111 for the look of 6 different pairs of shoes. Super-cool, and great for travel, too!
