The Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Collection! Every single holiday season my very favorite thing to feature on Raging Rouge are the limited-edition value sets. They are such a great way to shop, as they provide great product and great value simultaneously.
Not only does this palette offer a huge selection of color for the eyes and cheeks, but each set of four shadows and one blush can be removed from the larger palette box and placed into a padded compact for on the go application! This palette also has a drawer underneath to house the compact and three glosses. Each morning you can decide which palette to use for your look, pop into the compact, grab a gloss and take it with you for reapplication later!
I’ve always been a fan of the mega palettes offered by Tarte during the holiday season, but I think this one is perhaps their best yet since it offers the benefit of portability. Click through to see more photos, swatches, and details!

The Deets: Tarte Gorgeous Getaways
Photos and swatches below are of each separate palette within the collection starting from the top left.
The first mini-palette features eye shadow shades Taj Mahal, Grand Canyon, Big Ben, and Central Park, and the blush shade is Savvy. This is an earthy quad. The shades are very muted and feature neutral colors. Central Park is a really interesting almost black evergreen shade.
Palette two includes shades that are more intense: Santorini Bikini, Great Sphynx, Pacific Sunset, Belgian Chocolate, and the blush shade Spontaneous. These shadows have a semi-metallic finish. Santorini Bikini is a beautiful peachy highlight, Great Sphynx is a medium brown, Pacific Sunset is a bronze, and the accent color named Belgian Chocolate is a deep brown russet shade. These neutrals are universally appealing.
The next quad includes the shades Sergenti Sand, Buckingham Palace, Rocky Mountains, Bordeaux, and the blush shade Ambitious. Sergenti Sand is an amazing neutral shade that almost matches my skin (and therefore appears invisible in the photo above–at far left), Buckingham Palace is a deep metallic eggplant, Rocky Mountains is a smoky sooty charcoal gray, and Bordeaux is a metallic finish eggplant shade. Ambitious is a very sophisticated mauve pink.
The final quad contains the eye shadow shades Gold Coast, Eiffel Tower, Space Needle, Midnight in Paris, and the blush shade Lighthearted. I must be biased because I am smitten with the shade Space Needle. It is a shimmering taupe with a bit of a metallic edge to it. Gold Coast is of course gold, Eiffel Tower is a smoky deep charcoal gray, and Midnight in Paris is a super dark black/teal.
The gloss shades included in this collection are When In Rome, New York Minute, and Czech Me Out. From left to right, When in Rome is a sheer medium peachy pink, New York Minute is a pale lavender pink, and Czech Me Out is a neutral darker beige pink.
Retail price is $48.
